Glasgow Sparring Course, April 2014
After having attended the fun Leeds course, we were already having withdrawal symptoms and there it was, the Scottish Sparring Course. The course saw similar attendance to the Leeds course with a majority of students from Scotland, for a full day (6 hours). Those who had attended the previous course found this as a part 2, as some of the techniques covered were as a build-up on the Leeds course. The format was similar and so was the focus but an important addition was the use of arms for attack-deflection and following up with counter kicks. Yet again, we were all pushed to our limits and we all found it very rewarding. Participants also had the opportunity to spar in full kit, with Grandmaster Loh providing feedback on the techniques.
